About the Event
The Federal Decree Law No. 32 of 2021 on Commercial Companies introduced a number of vibrant changes to the commercial landscape of the UAE which enable greater flexibility to companies.
This half day workshop will highlight the most significant changes introduced by the New Commercial Companies Law, which came into effect on 2nd January 2022.

Lara Barbary

Lara is a Partner in the corporate department at BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates.
She is highly experienced in complex international business transactions and her skillset
covers mergers and acquisitions, private equity, dispositions, strategic investments, joint
ventures, establishment of entities, and general corporate advisory work.
Lara has led teams in numerous high profile and high value transactions for well-known
international and regional clients across a broad range of industries. Her broad
knowledge spans from strategy and company structuring to negotiation and
documentation, providing cost effective due diligence investigations in diversified
industries; including representation of parties on either side.
Ken Dixon
Of Counsel BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates LLP
Ken has in excess of thirty years post qualification private practice experience of which
almost fifteen years have been in the UAE. He has a broad range of corporate/commercial
experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, company structuring and
restructuring, joint ventures and infrastructure and real estate projects.
Ken is highly regarded for his practical, commercially driven, solution-based approach
to the advice he issues and the implementation and execution thereof. He has led
teams in numerous high profile projects and advised numerous established and
entrepreneurial businesses on their market entry into the UAE assisting in all aspects of
the structuring, establishment, and implementation of such market entry.
Tyne Hugo
Senior Associate BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates LLP
Practicing since 2012, Tyne specializes in corporate law and related DIFC litigation and
arbitration. He has worked on all types of cases including freezing orders, construction
disputes, and acting for numerous banking institutions for the recovery of funds in terms
of facility agreements. He also works on corporate related work including due diligences,
drafting and review of agreements and advising on corporate structuring.
