About the Event

The amendments to the provisions of UAE Commercial Transactions Law came into effect in January 2022. The decriminalization of bounced cheques was one of the key changes made to enhance the dynamics of business transactions and revitalize commercial dealings.

Jeetendra has been in his current role for 10+ years and has been a key figure in creating and building of the work out unit of the bank, which is now recognized by the market and acts as lead on a number of high-profile restructurings. Jeetendra started his career in 1995 in the aviation industry, prior to moving to Banking in 2005. He has over 25+ years’ experience working in various roles covering Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, Remedial & Restructuring. Jeetendra has been in the region for 22 years. He has an MBA majoring in Strategy from Strathclyde Business School (UK).

Ahmed is a bilingual English qualified associate and advises on a wide range of commercial contracts including joint ventures and sale and purchase agreements from both UAE and UK law perspectives. He also advises on M&A deals, including the drafting, reviewing and amending of share and asset purchase agreements, disclosure letters and negotiating with counterparties up to and including completion.
