Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a special ceremony yesterday at its head office to recognise member companies that have demonstrated outstanding export performance during the last eight months of 2017.

The exclusive Exporter of the Month gathering honoured eight companies that operate in the trade sector. Wadi Al Salam Trading LLC and Ronesca Middle East FZCO were recognised as companies with the highest export value.

Tura Global Trading FZE and Pylon General Trading FZE were recognised as recent start-up companies with the highest exports, while CPL Aromas FZE and Standard Carpets Industries LLC (Dubai branch) were both acknowledged for having the highest number of export markets.

Meanwhile, Al Nahda International FZCO and Universal Tube & Plastic Industries Limited were awarded for having the highest number of Certificates of Origin issued.

During the ceremony, H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber, congratulated the companies and presented their representatives with a certificate of recognition and an Exporter of the Month trophy.

H.E. Al Ghurair noted that Exporter of the Month is among Dubai Chamber’s most important initiatives that recognises top-performing members, while it also aims to promote best practices within Dubai’s trade sector.

“The awarded companies have worked hard to get where they are, and these firms serve as a source of inspiration for the rest of the business community. Each time we host this ceremony, we are impressed by the standards implemented by our members which are constantly improving, and ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector,” he said.

Representatives from the top-performing companies expressed their gratitude to Dubai Chamber for the valuable support and guidance that it provides to the local business community.

Dubai Chamber launched the Exporter of the Month initiative in 2009 under the name Exporter of the Quarter, to recognise the outstanding exporting companies in Dubai. The selection of companies is based on distinct and specific criteria derived from the Chamber’s Certificate of Origin database.
