Fadi Ghandour To Speak At First Online Step Event On How Startups Can Navigate The COVID-19 Situation
Technology conference Step has announced its first online event on April 14, featuring Wamda Group Executive Chairman Fadi Ghandour and Bayt.com CEO Rabea Ataya.
The free virtual event will see the prominent duo speak about how startups can navigate the current and upcoming times impacted by the global novel coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic.
The sessions will offer advice on fundraising and investment, growth sectors and digital transitions.
The event will also enable participants to network online through one-on-one meetings.
Ghandour founded logistics firm Aramex, which became the first Arab-based company to be listed on the NASDAQ in 1997. He was also a founding partner of Maktoob.com before it was acquired by Yahoo! in 2010. He then setup Wamda Capital to providing regional startups with mentoring and funding, as well as Ruwwad, a non-profit community development organisation that works with disenfranchised communities through education, youth volunteerism and grassroots organizing across Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine.
Ataya is the brains behind the Middle East’s leading job site Bayt.com. He previously served on the board of Queen Rania’s Foundation and also co-founded InfoFort, a record management company covering the Middle East and Africa.
The event runs from 6pm to 8pm. For more information visit stepconference.com/step-online.
