This issue highlights the “e-Learning for Entrepreneurs Program”, an online training program, supported by the Cisco Entrepreneurship Institute. The Program provides an e-training approach that is most effective in helping you to improve your business knowledge tools, enterprise support, and technical assistance to be successful in their business endeavors.
We are proudly announcing the recognition of PHOENIX GULF FZE, 3M GULF LTD, GENERAL MOTORS AFRICA & MIDDLE EAST FZE and AZIMUTH INTERNATIONAL GENERAL TRADING FZE as SME Exporters of the Month for their outstanding export performance during May – June – July – August respectively.
Further, we present investment & export opportunities in the “Aloe Vera Production”. We highlight potential opportunities for investment in Aloe Vera farming, a part of agricultural production that is currently undertaken across several different continents, yet nowhere in the Gulf. The plant is able to survive in areas of low natural rainfall and able to resist most insects and pests as well as widely included in locally produced medicine.
Lastly, we have launched the “Executive Leadership Workshop Series”, designed to cultivate and enhance business leaders and visionaries through a tailor-made coaching program, delivered by internationally renowned expert, Paul Steel.

In Dubai Chamber’s quest to continuously promote excellence amongst UAE businesses and ensure a competitive business environment, the launch of the 6th round of the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award 2011 was announced during the International Conference on September 20st 2011, at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The day-long conference was inaugurated by H.E. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and included presentations by prominent leaders of business performance models and business quality and innovation management, followed by a panel session, and concluded with a gala dinner where tokens of appreciation were presented to the speakers.
We also provide the fast facts on Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award 2011.
Further, we present investment & export opportunities in the “Goat & Camel Milk Yoghurts and Ice Cream” and “Camel and Goat Hair & Wool Textile Blend” sectors. This issue highlights the GCC's Economic Outlook and expectations for 2011 Further, we present investment opportunities in the Sugar and Confectionery sector. We highlight potential opportunities for investment in sugar and confectionery, a sector that has demonstrated competitiveness in global trade. We also highlight the Essentials of Managerial (Cost) Accounting and its application in the public and private sectors. This training workshop provided attendees with information on the fundamentals and application of managerial (cost) accounting concepts and the use of management accounting techniques on a daily basis. We also hosted a seminar on Sources of Capital for Growing Business, which was conducted by HSBC Middle East and Abraaj Capital. The aim of this event was to raise awareness on sources of capital available from their organizations. We furthermore proudly announce a Regional Honour for Dubai Chamber's Green Efforts by Saudi Arabia's Environmental Management Award in the category Best Environmental Application in the Government Departments within the Arab countries.
