Dubai Media City Announces Freelance Permit For Media And Education Professionals
Dubai-based free zone authority TECOM Group has announced the introduction of a new license for education and media freelance professionals in the emirate.
The move is geared towards providing affordable opportunities and creating support for independent professionals.
The freelancer package is available under its Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Park arms and is priced at 7,500 UAE dirhams for a permit with a residence visa available at an added cost.
The permit accepts applications online at www.gofreelance.ae with more than 40 different freelance business activities to choose from, including content developer, journalist, editor, photographer, translator, animator, web developer, graphic designer, public relations specialist, actor and more.
In a statement posted on the website, the authority said: “TECOM Group strongly believes in freelance talent and its ability to transform our economy by infusing diverse skills into the community. To this end, we have introduced a new freelance package and made the process simpler to give you what you need to support an independent future. It’s time to share your talent with the world.”
